Our Story

Here’s the lowdown on how we ended up here: Although we apparently met at one of those infamous 'Rosser' house parties many years ago, Lauren’s memory of the evening is a bit... hazy. Fast forward to Christmas 2019, when we really connected after our mutual friend had a little too much booze and left us alone at the local pub. It was the start of something special, as we ended the night with a "sloppy Giuseppe" (yes, if you know, you know).
Steven pulled out all the stops to win Lauren over, and our first official date happened in February 2020, just weeks before the world went into lockdown. We squeezed in a few more dates, but with the world on pause, it seemed like our romance might follow suit. Then, a massive shoutout to Stace (I’m sure she’ll thank us for this) for her epic argument with Lauren that led to Steve suggesting we move in together. What followed was parties for two, picnics in the park and walks…lots of walks!
Soon, we settled into Steven's newly renovated house, and within six months, we bought our first home together in Findon Village. True to the saying, "new house, new baby," our little boy George arrived in the summer of 2022. It was a challenging start with Lauren's health post-birth, meaning Steve was on nappies, washing, bottles, night feeds, maid duties, and everything else in between.
Despite all this, we now have a beautiful home and our miracle baby boy!
When George was nine months old, we went on a cruise, and every day we walked past the jewellers in the atrium. Steve suggested we just "have a look" at the rings, and somehow, we ended up walking out with the sparkly one from the window! Steve played it cool, insisting on taking his time with the proposal (Lauren may or may not have tried on the ring a few times when he was out of the house).
Finally, the big day came in September: Steve set up a charming picnic, and after an evening of playing frisbee with George, eating, and drinking, he popped the question. Since then, we've been enjoying trips to The Lake District, planning the wedding, and soaking up life as a family of three. We can't wait to celebrate the next big chapter of our story with you during our three-day wedding celebration!
